Kyan Patel is a contemporary artist whose work lives at the intersection of fine art, sports, and culture.
What began as a portrait business in high school has grown into a body of work created for athletes and cultural figures across the NFL, NBA, NCAA, MLS, and entertainment. Patel has worked with more than 70 clients, including Magic Johnson, Travis Hunter, Bryce Young, DeAndre Hopkins, Bijan Robinson, and Kai Cenat.
His process combines layered collage with oil painting, using imagery from each subject’s career, story, and identity to build the foundation beneath the portrait. The result is work that goes beyond capturing what someone looks like, it documents the moments and experiences that shaped them.
Patel continues to explore the space between traditional fine art and contemporary sports culture while expanding the way his work can live beyond the canvas.
